Deniz Gulkan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She has worked as a Pediatric Patient Care Technician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where she has gained experience in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric Oncology/Hematology. With a strong interest in medicine, Deniz is actively pursuing a career in pediatric surgery and plans to attend medical school. She is passionate about expanding her clinical exposure and is eager to engage in shadowing opportunities, internships, and other experiences that will further her skills and understanding of patient care.
