The Reilly lab is part of the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Center for Metabolic Health, a faculty that works towards its goal of better understanding the basic biology and genetics of diabetes, obesity and metabolic disease, and then translating new discoveries into therapeutic approaches.
NY Adipocyte Club
Founded by Susan K Fried, Ph.D (MSSM) and Li Qiang, Ph.D. in 2018, the NY Adipocyte Club meets monthly to bring together researchers from the metropolitan area who work in fields of adipose biology, metabolism and obesity. The organizing committee includes Drs. Victor Schuster (Einstein), Shannon Reilly (Cornell), Paul Cohen (Rockefeller), and Farnaz Shamsi (NYU). Each meeting includes short presentations by pre- and post-doctoral trainees as well as faculty, with ample time for discussion.
Peroxi Club
The Peroxi Club is an international community of scientists interested in peroxisome biology, who share knowledge expertise and reagents. They meet once a month to discuss a current peroxisome research.
